Custom Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) using Geotab

The Geotab Drive app is an easy to use app for drivers. They can use the app to complete their Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR), and these lists can be modified to provide a custom DVIR. Using the Geotab Drive app to complete a DVIR can be very beneficial for all types of vehicles. A DVIR is usually required for heavy-duty vehicles however we have clients who use the DVIR as a method of tracking the condition of the vehicle for maintenance purposes. 

As Geotab rolls out new version updates of MyGeotab, you may notice that you no longer have DVIR listed under Engine & Maintenance, it has simply been renamed to “Asset Inspection”. While the name has changed, the process has remained the same.

The following video will show you how to log in and perform a DVIR (Asset Inspection) using the Geotab Drive app.
The video starts by showing the login to the app with the HOS (Hours of Service) component, however given this web page only deals with DVIR (Asset Inspection), the video has been made to start at the DVIR section.

The Geotab platform also allows you to create custom DVIR (Asset Inspection) defect lists in MyGeotab. Keep in mind that the chosen list will apply to all of the vehicles or trailers.
